These pictures are from the factory and their showhome in Germany.

Rob is still on the AV system and has been for the last 2 weeks. He is looking at SVS subwoofers and surround system. We have to the Miele showroom to look at kitchens. More discussion is needed for the planning of the Kitchen as we can't agree on its layout.

We have had the topographical survey done now and we are waiting for them to come back to us, then we can get started on the final designs. Something to look forward too!

Wiring for AV looks to be quite extensive for what I want to achieve. Dedicated AV room required with approx 100-150 incoming wires required to cover electrical supply to the house and AV wiring. Each room will require 3 x CAT 5e and 2x CT 100 but may be able to get away with 1 CT 100 to each of the bedrooms.

The planning for the wiring will need to be done prior to the build as all the walls arrive ready built with conduit for pulling the wires through. Fun for the electrician.

Rob spent 3 hours last night in a pub with Darren (electrician friend) and a guy who deals with AV systems - all over my head! He came back spouting jargon about AV systems which totally went over my head.

I think he has decided which system to go for and what wiring to do. Lots of weekends with him wiring the house then!

Plan for this House

We plan to demolish this bungalow and replace it with a 4 bedroomed eco house. It will incorporate air-source heat pump, solar panels and rain water harvesting.

We have been to Germany to see a house being manufactured. More pictures later.

We are waiting for some sketches of the house and plan to go to the council in a couple of weeks for discussion.
